A heat exchanger is a part of a seal support system of seal arrangement that is intended for providing appropriate service conditions for mechanical seals in pumps (oil, chemical and so on). It keeps, maintains pressure and cools buffer/barrier fluid that transfer frictional heat from seal faces in centrifugal pumps.

Heat exchanger design specific features

Seal support system based on the cooling coil heat exchanger СО.6.ХХ outstands with compactibility, simplicity of design and not high cost. The seal support system has necessary fitment for prompt connection to a seal; basic configuration is provided with instrumentation for visual control. Applicable for Plan 52, Plan 53A, Plan 53B and API 682. All parts of the seal support system are manufactured from corrosion resistant steels. The system can be equipped with additional fittings and instruments according to customers requirements

Controls and instrumentation allow for local and remote monitoring of the seal and ensure protection of the whole assembling in case of the seal failure by means of installation of:
